Dr. NaAngela O'Neal, Ed.D
NaAngela O'Neal is an author and transformative speaker on student's leadership transformation and fulfillment with over a decade of experience leading teams and improving institutional cultures.
After serving 22 years in the United States Army, NaAngela has retired with distinguished honors, having been awarded the Bronze Service Medal for combat and the Meritorious Service Medal as her greatest awards. She is married and has three sons, two of whom are currently serving in the military. Throughout her career, she has gained valuable leadership skills that has shaped her personal and professional journey.
Throughout her leadership journey, she has immersed herself in researching effective teaching practices within JROTC and engaging in two significant studies that explore both JROTC and general education teachers. In 2023, Dr. O'Neal has earned her Doctoral degree in education, culminating in years of inquiry and dedication.
My research has unveiled a compelling variety of teaching methods, demonstrating that with strong support from school administration for teacher leaders, the impact of these practices can immensely elevate educational outcomes.
With 17 years of experience as a JROTC instructor, complemented by remarkable accreditation scores of 95.4 and 90.0 on two formal JROTC Program of Accreditation (JPA) assessments, I have had the privilege of learning from exceptional teacher leaders, dedicated principals, and professionals within the Army instruction program and Cadet Command. Their steadfast dedication and professionalism significantly enrich the JROTC teaching experience, underscoring the value of collaborative leadership in education.
